Accessibility Statement
HOMEO DIGITAL accessibility commitments and feedback channels.
Accessibility Statement
1. Our Accessibility Commitment
HOMEO DIGITAL aims to ensure that patients, doctors, students, caregivers, administrators, and other visitors can access and use the Platform as independently and effectively as possible.
Accessibility is considered during the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of our website, mobile interfaces, forms, directories, educational resources, appointment services, and medicine-ordering processes.
2. Accessibility Standard and Conformance Target
HOMEO DIGITAL is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at Level AA, commonly referred to as WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
These guidelines provide recommendations for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with different accessibility requirements.
Although we aim to follow these guidelines, some areas of the Platform may not yet fully meet every applicable accessibility requirement. Therefore, this statement should not be interpreted as a declaration of complete or formally certified conformance unless such certification is expressly published by HOMEO DIGITAL.
3. Accessibility Measures
HOMEO DIGITAL is taking reasonable measures to improve digital accessibility, including:
- Using clear headings, page titles, labels, instructions, and consistent navigation structures.
- Providing meaningful alternative text for important images, graphics, icons, and visual content where appropriate.
- Supporting keyboard navigation for menus, forms, buttons, links, pop-up windows, and interactive components.
- Maintaining readable text sizes and sufficient visual contrast between text, controls, and backgrounds.
- Avoiding the use of colour as the only method of communicating important information.
- Providing visible focus indicators for interactive elements when users navigate through the Platform using a keyboard.
- Using descriptive link text and clearly labelled form controls.
- Providing validation messages and instructions to help users identify and correct form-entry errors.
- Designing responsive pages that can be viewed on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Reviewing accessibility when introducing or substantially modifying Platform features.
4. Accessible Platform Features
Navigation and Search
We aim to provide consistent menus, logical page structures, descriptive headings, and search facilities to help users find doctors, medicines, educational materials, services, and account features.
Forms and Account Services
Registration forms, appointment-booking forms, consultation forms, medicine-order forms, profile-management tools, and contact forms are designed to include clear labels, instructions, required-field indicators, and understandable error messages.
Language Options
Where available, users may access Platform content in English or Bangla. We are continuing to improve the accuracy, completeness, readability, and accessibility of bilingual content.
Text Enlargement and Zoom
The Platform is designed to support standard browser zoom and text enlargement functions. Page content should remain readable and usable when enlarged within reasonable limits, although some complex layouts may require additional improvement.
Assistive Technology
We aim to structure the Platform so that it can be used with commonly available assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnification software, voice-input tools, and keyboard-only navigation. Actual performance may vary depending on the user's device, browser, operating system, assistive technology, and individual settings.
5. Medical and Health Information Accessibility
We recognize that clear access to health-related information is particularly important. We therefore aim to present appointment information, medicine instructions, prescription details, dosage information, warnings, notifications, and consultation records in a clear and understandable manner.
Users who cannot access important medical or prescription information through the Platform should contact the relevant consulting doctor or HOMEO DIGITAL support team for assistance.
HOMEO DIGITAL is not an emergency medical service. Accessibility assistance requests should not be used for medical emergencies. In a life-threatening emergency, users should immediately contact their local emergency service or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
6. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, users may experience accessibility difficulties in certain areas of the Platform. Potential limitations may include:
- Older documents, scanned records, images, eBooks, or PDF files that may not contain complete text alternatives or accessible document structures.
- User-uploaded medical records, prescriptions, images, certificates, attachments, or educational materials that were not created by HOMEO DIGITAL.
- Videos or multimedia materials that may not yet include captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, or equivalent alternatives.
- Complex charts, medicine tables, calendars, appointment schedules, organograms, or interactive directory components that may be difficult to use with some assistive technologies.
- Automatically translated Bangla content that may contain linguistic, formatting, or contextual inaccuracies.
- Third-party payment, mapping, video-call, messaging, courier, social media, or embedded services that are controlled by external service providers.
- Newly introduced features that are still undergoing accessibility review or technical improvement.
We are working to identify, prioritize, and address accessibility issues as part of the Platform's continuing development.
7. Third-Party Content and Services
The Platform may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites and services, including payment gateways, courier providers, messaging applications, video-conferencing platforms, maps, social media services, document viewers, and externally hosted educational resources.
HOMEO DIGITAL does not control the accessibility of third-party platforms and cannot guarantee that their content, applications, or services will meet the same accessibility standards.
Users who experience accessibility difficulties with a third-party service should contact that service provider directly and may also notify HOMEO DIGITAL so that we can consider an alternative where reasonably possible.
8. User-Generated and Uploaded Content
Doctors, students, patients, administrators, and other authorized users may upload documents, images, prescriptions, medical records, certificates, articles, videos, or other materials to the Platform.
Users who upload or publish content are encouraged to:
- Provide meaningful descriptions for important images and diagrams.
- Use clear headings and readable document structures.
- Avoid scanned image-only documents where an accessible text version can be provided.
- Add captions or transcripts to important audio and video materials where reasonably possible.
- Ensure that health instructions, medicine information, and other important content are written clearly and accurately.
HOMEO DIGITAL may review, modify, replace, or remove uploaded content that creates a serious accessibility, security, legal, or usability concern.
9. Accessibility Feedback and Assistance
We welcome feedback from users regarding the accessibility of the Platform.
When reporting an accessibility issue, please provide as much of the following information as possible:
- The page, feature, document, or service affected.
- The web address or URL of the affected page, where available.
- A clear description of the accessibility difficulty.
- The device, browser, operating system, or assistive technology being used.
- The alternative format or assistance required.
We will review accessibility feedback and make reasonable efforts to provide information in an alternative format or identify another method of accessing the relevant service.
10. Assessment and Continuous Improvement
HOMEO DIGITAL may assess accessibility through internal reviews, automated testing tools, manual keyboard testing, assistive-technology testing, user feedback, and independent professional evaluations where appropriate.
Accessibility improvements may be implemented gradually according to their effect on users, technical complexity, available resources, security requirements, and the importance of the affected service.
We will continue to review this statement and update it when significant changes are made to the Platform, its accessibility features, applicable requirements, or our assessment methods.
